Miami Launch Dinner: Building Connection Through Conversation

Miami Launch Dinner: Building Connection Through Conversation

Last week, we brought Check On Your Teammates to Miami.

What started as a simple dinner brought together leaders from hospitality, real estate, finance, entrepreneurship, wellness, and philanthropy for an evening focused on something that affects all of us: mental health and human connection. At Check On Your Teammates, we believe that meaningful change often starts with a simple conversation. Not a perfect conversation. Not an expert conversation. Just a genuine moment where someone takes the time to ask, listen, and care. That was the spirit of the evening.

Throughout the night, people shared experiences, perspectives, and stories from their own lives and careers. Conversations moved beyond business and focused on the importance of supporting one another, creating healthier communities, and building environments where people feel comfortable reaching out when they need help.
What made the evening special was the shared understanding that mental health is not confined to one industry, one age group, or one background. It impacts all of us. Whether in the workplace, at home, or within our communities, every person has the ability to make a difference by simply checking in on those around them.

The Miami dinner was another reminder that this movement is bigger than a hat, a slogan, or a social media post. It is about creating a culture where people feel seen, valued, and supported. It is about encouraging conversations that might not otherwise happen and reminding people that they do not have to carry life's challenges alone.
We are incredibly grateful to everyone who joined us and contributed to the discussion. Your willingness to share your time, your experiences, and your commitment to supporting others is what helps this movement grow.

This was just the beginning for Miami, and we look forward to continuing these conversations and expanding the Check On Your Teammates community throughout South Florida and beyond. Because sometimes the most important thing you can do for someone is simple: CHECK IN! And ask, "How are you doing?"

Keep checking on your teammates.
